  • PEPSOL Graduation ( May 31, 2015)

Congratulations to this batch’s strong finishers. Their eyes are on the goal—Jesus.  (Phil. 3:14)

“Hindi ito paramihan ng alam,”(This is not about how much you know) says Bambi Warden in her opening speech.  “Ito ay paayusan ng buhay!”(This is about giving God free reign to fix your life.)

“You are wise, and the wise man builds his house, his family, his future upon the Rock—Jesus!” This is Tim Warden’s encouragement for the graduates.

Giselle Graycochea, a Pre-encounter graduate, who took the 2-day summer Pre-encounter sessions claimed that she learned a lot and all of her questions were given answers. She also expressed her gratitude to her leader who invested in her.  “It’s not even about the money you invested, but your willingness to help me get my life in order,” she tearfully added.

TJ Apigo, an Encounter graduate recalled how the session, “A Father’s Love” lifted all the negative feelings he felt about his biological father.  He has forgiven and accepted his dad’s flaws and is now focused on our Heavenly Father’s perfect love. “I will use this as a benchmark in raising my future kids,” he says.

Neriza Lomibao, one of the top three finishers of the Post-encounter shared that it is her first time to ever wear a toga. “I was supposed to be out today selling notebooks, but God taught me to prioritize Him. I never expected to finish with flying colors,” she cried.

Joby Bang-as, who finished at the top of the Post-encounter class said that he realized that he did not know anything.  “I thought I knew everything being taught at the Post-encounter, but then I realized, I need to relearn everything.”

Having said all of these, the merry graduates went “off and running, not turning back.” (Phil. 3:14)

  • Usapang Lalaki: Buhay May Asawa

    May 29, 2015 (Fri.)

San Fernando Christian Community gathered all the married men and had an intimate dinner.  Along with a marvelous dinner was an intimate discussion about the issues of marriage.  Steve Pegg & Tim Warden teamed up to make this program happen.  The heart is to empower and raise up the men to lead their families.

  • SFCC Youth Sports Festival 2015

San Fernando Christian Community recently held a Youth Sports Festival.  The main purpose is to build relationships, and to promote camaraderie and sportsmanship.  In the course of the 2-day event, the participants received the message of salvation and many received Jesus in their hearts.  Most of the youth reveled at the warmth and genuine reception at SFCC. They felt right at home the moment they stepped into the center’s threshold.

  • Brigada Eskwela 2015: "Tayo Para sa Kalinisan, Kaligtasan at Kahandaan ng Ating Paaralan."

Another school year is about to start. Brigada Eskwela has mobilized a simultaneous nationwide cleanup of schools.  Sadulawit, Inc. volunteers organized their team  to help out at the La Union National High School here in San Fernando City.  The team contributed their time, effort, and resources to ensure that said school will be prepared in time for the school opening. Their selfless giving has contributed  a huge difference in the future enrollees’ comfort and convenience as they tackle another year of learning new things.

    Good job, Sadulawit!

  • Out of the Mouths of Babes

“Beware that you don’t look down on any of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels are always in the presence of my heavenly Father.” (Matthew 18:10)

God’s Word rings true. All over the world, children are being given importance & worth.  At SFCC, these children are being given a Lifeline that will never fail them. The hope based on the Truth that is planted in their hearts will be carried throughout their lives.

In teaching them to share their faith at such a tender age, they will get real experiences that will deepen their faith in Jesus.  This will equip them with tools they can use in their lifetime. This will also strengthen and mature their understanding of grace & redemption.  Their spiritual foundation will be solidified further, never shaken by circumstances.

Yesterday (May 21, 2015), the Champion Kids together with the Kids Ministry team trooped to the streets of San Fernando all fired up and ready to share the love of God. Amidst the hustle & bustle of the city’s rush hour, people were presented with the gift of salvation. Praise God, more than 40 people received Jesus as their personal Lord & Savior! What a harvest!

Anyone can make a difference if he is willing to be an instrument—even a young child. In Matthew 21, the children were heard shouting praises to Jesus inside the temple.  The leaders were indignant, but Jesus replied, Haven’t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say, ‘You have taught children and infants to give you praise.”  (Mt. 21:16)

Prepping them before leaving for the evangelistic mission

Bambi praying and anointing the kids before they leave.

In full swing: Marvie shares the Good News

The old listens to the young. Little Xhenna boldly shares to a woman thrice her age.  God uses those who are available and makes them able.

    What a di
fference a child can make! This woman will never be the same again. Little Jenny led her to say a prayer accepting Jesus as her personal Lord & Savior.

In rapt attention: God’s Word will never return to Him empty. ( Isaiah 55:11) Alanah Mae finds it a privilege to help share the Gospel.

Grace sowing seed that will produce fruit.

Two are better than one (Eph. 4:9).  Alanah & Jenny team up to win souls for Jesus.

After this, that boy will carry a treasure that lasts forever.

Isaac, like David who was undaunted by size, boldly shares the power of the cross.

  • Evangelism Training For Kids

“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” ( Matthew 28:19-20)
The Great Commission is for everyone, not just for the youth & the adults.  Laying a strong foundation for spiritual growth in children enables them to respond with enthusiasm to Jesus’ command to be His witnesses.  As these kids are grounded in their faith, they are also being equipped to share their faith and win other kids like them to a fulfilling life with Jesus.
These kids are being trained to go out with their team leaders to share the Good News.  Age is never a factor in participating in the advancement of the Kingdom.  Jesus never underestimated children. In fact, He said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” (Matthew 19:14)

If you watch the news, you will find disturbing photos or video clips of children as young as 4 being trained to use guns.  Why not arm our children with the right weapons?  We use God’s mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments.” (2 Cor. 10:4)

In 5 to 10 years, these children will become young adults—future movers & shakers.  Let’s help equip them and  “point them in the right direction so that when they’re old they won’t be lost.” (Prov. 22:6)

Start ’em young. Worship is a way of life.
At an early age, these children recognize the power of prayer.

Ate Rizze demonstrates the use of simple hand signals as a tool for sharing the Gospel.
Little Cathleen practices sharing the Gospel with her team leader.

Jovito is applying what he just learned during the training.

“How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7)

  • Gift-Giving & Champion Kids Summer Activities

    May 2015

This summer,  the Champion Kids of SFCC have been attending Bible lessons daily.  These lessons are punctuated with games and other fun activities.  Consolidating these kids & keeping them planted in the Word is a priority.  This is also an opportunity to build them up as future leaders.

As a result, there has been a significant increase in terms of attendance.  Even the parents & guardians of these children play an active role.  They faithfully bring their kids to the center knowing that these kids are in good hands and are spending their summer vacation wisely.

The heart of SFCC is to let the children learn what it means to faithfully follow Jesus.  It is fulfilling to see lives being changed.  This is of true eternal value.

  • Make Kids Smile at SFCC

    May 11, 2015 ( Mon.)
On Monday, May 11, San Fernando Christian Community distributed gifts to children from all over San Fernando City. This shoebox gift-giving was started by a Welsh businessman whose heart was moved after seeing orphans on the news.  He mobilized his neighbors & pretty soon, the movement reached children from all over the world.  Each shoe box is filled with  presents for children ( school supplies, hygiene products, food, toys, etc.).  What goes into the box is fun, but what comes out is eternal.  It presents an opportunity to invite children into a deeper relationship and knowledge of Jesus.

It is a fact that 70% of our society’s children are unchurched.  This drive gives an opportunity to up the stats in the Kingdom’s favor.

This is just one of the many ways to reach out to the lost.  If each of us would let our hearts be broken with the things that break the heart of God, we would all make a difference in this world.
The shoe box that makes a lot of difference.

    It’s a kid’s world!

    Feeling the love of Jesus

Bambi Warden’s passion to raise kids in the knowledge of Jesus is an inspiration.

There’s plenty for everyone! What a treat! =)

Happy faces all. Thank you, Abba, for the compassionate hearts that made this happen! =)

Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” (Mt. 19:14)

  • ENCOUNTER GOD RETREAT (May 1-2, 2015)

Hazel grew up trying to please her Dad to earn his approval.  As a result, she gauges her acceptance according to  how she performed.  If she fails to accomplish a task at work, she feels rejected.  At the Encounter God Retreat, she willingly accepted the Father’s love.  The years of living in fear of being rejected has ended.  “God’s love is the solution to all problems”, she shares.

Marverich carried with him 23 years’ worth of pain and hurt of being bullied by classmates.  Add to that, he did not have a smooth relationship with some of his family members.  He tried all sorts of remedies like tantric yoga, studied different kinds of religion, etc.  What he really needed  was to let go of all the pent-up anger he nursed for years.  At the retreat, he allowed God to soften his hardened heart.  Releasing forgiveness to those who hurt him gave him the peace that he has been searching for. “I believe Jesus when He said, It is done! Now I feel free,” he testifies.

Simo, a photographer/ videographer, now sees God at every angle.  “When I shoot,” he explains, “I study all the sides involved.” Looking up, he says, he sees the ceiling. His vision is limited.  In his heart, it was manifested that that ceiling represents problems, fears, any obstacles. But his spiritual eyes revealed that beyond the ceiling is the vast sky. He now realizes that God is bigger than anything. His vision may be obstructed in the physical, but his deeper faith made him see beyond any circumstance.

Deo claims that this Encounter is his best birthday gift in 37 years.  He released forgiveness to his brother whom he has not seen since 2002.  But God surprised him because that same night, he received a text message that his estranged brother was trying to reach him.  Because he turned his life over to Jesus, restoration began to take place in his life.

“When people ask me how I’m doing, I always reply: I’m good,” Ken shares.  “Throughout the Encounter, I started replying, I’m great! But after the Encounter, after I have totally received the love of God, my answer is this: I’m perfect!” And why not, when one is so confident that He is loved and accepted by the Father?

Rochelle arrived at the Encounter hungry and desiring God.  She was decided to set everything aside and really encounter God.  In her heart, God told her, “This is how you will receive me. Say thank you because it is done!”  So she did and she did encounter God so intimately that she could not contain it. “If you want to be filled, empty yourself,” she shares.

  • And the #Trending List Continues

At San Fernando Christian Community, the culture is set ‘by design’  and not ‘by default’.  The trend is set for the purpose of running with the vision that God gave.

Of late, discipleship is the current trend.  The tagline is “paayusan ng buhay”, which means “putting our lives in order.”

Another trend is the act of volunteering.  For a servant heart, it is a privilege to serve and to be a part in the advancement of God’s kingdom.

It is also a culture by design to keep inviting.  If one has found a treasure or a very important discovery, won’t he be eager to tell the whole world? If you have experienced the profundity of God’s love, then you will not hesitate to invite people to come and experience what you have experienced.
