  • SADULAWIT GRAND REUNION

Sadulawit, Inc., which stands for SAyaw, DUla, at AWIT, has been running since 2001. For 14 years, Sadulawit’s commitment has been to honor God through dance, drama, and music, with a special emphasis on the promotion and preservation of our very own Filipino culture. Among the projects are major conferences with acclaimed professional artists, conducting training clinics from vocals, songwriting, playing musical instruments to dance and drama.

Sadulawit, Inc. works directly within campuses and its ultimate aim is to help young people find a spiritually meaningful and balanced lifestyle.  It offers free tutorials (Math, English, Science, Filipino, Araling Panlipunan, etc.). It also offers life coaching & counseling sessions.

So many young lives have been changed through the Sadulawit. Talents and potential are tapped and discovered. The energy of the youth are channeled in the right direction, cultivating creativity, originality in the musical and performing arts.

Thus, after more than a decade, the Sadulawit Grand Reunion was organized. So many alumni trooped to the venue—some already with families of their own, some already working, and some still in school—but all of them thankful that Sadulawit made a lasting impact on their young lives.

Tim Warden shares how Sadulawit started and why it is still in operation.

  • Special Anniversary Baptism Sunday

    22 Feb. 2015 (Sun.)

The fire of faith keeps burning as San Fernando Christian Community keeps up with God’s vision for this church. After the recently-concluded umpteenth Encounter God Retreat, more and more souls are dedicating their new-found lives to Jesus.  In line with the culminating Family Fun Sunday celebration, a special Water Baptism Sunday was held at the SFCC grounds. The air was filled with resounding applause as one by one, people declared publicly their union with Jesus.

Josh Rogie May Bautista decided to be baptized to seal her citizenship as a child of Jesus.  She feels new, refreshed, and has left the weight of her past baggages behind.

Honorata Peralta is looking forward to her new beginning. After the Encounter, she is eager to start anew with her life with Jesus. “I feel and know now that I am really a child of God.” She was so excited that she lost her balance jumping up and down at the pool. It would be an interesting anecdote to accentuate her personal testimony.

Cayetano Parreño, a barber by profession, has personally experienced the bath (cleansing), burial (death of the old self with Jesus), and the new birth (resurrection with Christ).

Rizza Cariaga shares that the Holy Spirit has urged her have a deeper relationship with Him.  This led her to declare her commitment to Jesus. “Para kang nanalo sa Lotto na di ka naman tumaya. Para kang may sakit na cancer pero gumaling. Di ko ma-explain!” (“It feels like winning in the lottery without placing your bet. It’s like having cancer that got healed altogether. I can’t explain it!”)

It’s always an emotional moment having a personal encounter with your personal Lord and Savior. To God be the glory!

  • SFCC FAMILY FUN SUNDAY

    22 Feb. 2015 (Sun.)

The month-long anniversary celebration of San Fernando Christian Community has ended with much fanfare.  The Family Fun Sunday started, of course, with the special services. After that, the congregation headed towards the courtyard to enjoy the fun games, fellowship, special numbers, and of course, the array of goodies at the food fare.
It was a special day of celebrating mainly to recognize what God is doing for this church.

  • It's A Date! A Valentine's Day Get-together

On the special day of hearts, San Fernando Christian Community celebrated with dinner, music, candles, testimonies about love, and sound love advices.  Young and old flocked to the decked out courtyard and reveled in the merriment.  There was dancing, singing, fellowship, and dining.

Love is in the air: The SFCC Courtyard in full celebratory mode
“Fall in love with His falling in love WITH YOU! We love because He first loved us.
    (1 John 4:19)”

There was dancing. Oh yes, there was dancing!

  • KIDS ENCOUNTER (FEB. 6-7, 2015)

“But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”
    (2 Timothy 3:14-15, ESV)

San Fernando Christian Community recently held a Kids Encounter Retreat with great success. Of course, it was by God’s grace, plus a lot of help from willing volunteers and workers that it was able to serve its purpose. The kids came out with a clear understanding of salvation. One child, when asked what his favorite part of the event was, confidently declared that he was so happy that Jesus already erased his sinful past.
As these kids are growing up  in the knowledge of Jesus, SFCC will always be in partnership with their parents to “train them in the ways they should go, so that when they grow old, they will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

  • This is My Church, This is My House

San Fernando Christian Community is holding a month-long anniversary celebration.  The last 22 years hold a series of testimonies—of lives changed, hearts molded, and mindsets renewed. Be planted and see how God turns ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3).
  • Water Baptism Sunday & Fun Sunday

The last Sunday of the month at San Fernando Christian Community has always been a monumental event.  Fun Sunday is a celebration, sort of like a culminating event for a productive month. Celebrating even the littlest things help keep the focus on what God is doing in the church.  Kids and youth look forward to Fun Sunday since there are always new and exciting activities. Add to that, the last Sunday is also Water Baptism Sunday.  This act of public declaration of being one with Christ is always greatly celebrated.  Kate Galvez claims she has been witnessing previous baptisms.  She took her time and finally, she feels now is the right time. “May pinanghahawakan na ako na relationship with God,” (“I already have a firm relationship with God.”) she declares. She expects changes in her life and aims to be more active in church.
JP Julaton, 15,  sees his baptism as an act of leaving his past behind and is now ready to put his life in Jesus’ hands.  He expects God to change him little by little. He will start with being obedient to his parents.
  • DAVID BEEBOUT AT PRAISE & PRAYER

Last Tuesday, January 20th, San Fernando Christian Community was blessed to have David Beebout as special guest speaker during Praise & Prayer.

David Beebout has been running God’s vision since 2003. He has traveled to different places around the world spreading the love of Jesus with an enthusiasm that is very infectious. Hearing him talk about God’s  goodness inspires and revives even the faintest of hearts. Here is a guy who really has experienced God’s awesomeness. The good thing about him is that he wants everyone to have a taste  of what he is enjoying and experiencing. He is a funny guy with a big heart.

“Iron sharpens iron! (Prov. 27:17)”, David shares. “Other people help you develop your character.”

At Praise and Prayer, we celebrate wins and victories. “Rejoice with those who rejoice,” according to Romans 12:15.

Tita Mila shares her testimony of supernatural healing after previously being admitted at the hospital for hypertension.

    “Even small
children are known by their actions.”
(Prov. 20:11) Little Zion knows how to thank
the Real Source of all the blessings he received during his 4th birthday.

“Don’t come from a place of worry. Your God doesn’t need you to defend Him. Let God be God. And let Him fight your battles for you.”
At Praise & Prayer, people unite and agree in prayer, trusting God for the answers.

The network makes the net work. Disciples and disciple-makers gather together to lift up prayer concerns about the city, its people, the church, and everything in general.

“From the lips of children and infants You, Lord, have called forth Your praise.” (Mt. 21:16)

Where there is love, peace, and unity, the Holy Spirit dwells.
The steadily increasing attendance at Praise & Prayer is evidence that people are realizing the incredible power of prayer and of praying together.

  • A BETTER HOUSE

This year, God is leading San Fernando Christian Community to “Build with Excellence”.

Here is a couple’s testimony about the successful life of their child because she remained planted in a church. A better house happens when we honor God and carry out His vision.

  • 2015: BUILD WITH EXCELLENCE

Build a better church and build a better future.  SFCC is in the business of building lives, equipping each one and empowering them to live the life God has planned for them.

How many lives have been changed? How may mindsets have been transformed? How many hearts have been cleaned out of useless debris and have experienced a complete overhaul?

San Fernando Christian Community is thankful that God has led them into this new direction.  The PEPSOL Training has been running for almost two years now and the results and testimonies have been overwhelming. Arlene Mariñas Collado has been resistant to undergo the Pre-encounter training. But she confesses that all along, God has been melting her heart and has replaced her stubbornness with a desire to get to know God on a deeper level. Her son, Joseph, has gone ahead, and is now on his way to finishing the Post-encounter.  Teary-eyed with joy, he shares that during the worship part of the Sunday service, he could not stop crying. He is overwhelmed at the way that God is moving in their lives. “I am overjoyed that God is restoring my family. Now, we, including my relatives, are all here together, praising and serving God.”

Joshua 24:15 “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Mother & son Arlene & Joseph Collado: both undergoing PEPSOL Training. God is in the business of restoring families.
