Celebrate Recovery Graduation

“I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.” (Luke 15:7)
At Celebrate Recovery, we celebrate the new life that these young people have chosen to embrace. Every decision, especially wrong ones, have consequences. In the road to recovery, a single step towards the right direction is needed. Then as one keeps taking basic steps, it will become a rhythm, a walk. Each step requires a wise decision. Soon, it develops into a lifestyle. “Di pa huli ang lahat (It’s never too late)”, declares one youth. And it’s true. We have a God who is a God of 2nd chances.
Special guest speaker, Mayor Dong Gualberto is delighted that the first part of the recovery program was successfully finished. It has been a fruitful thirteen weeks of rehabilitation activities. The mayor encouraged the youth to keep holding on to God. “That’s the secret to a successful life if you ask me.” He strongly suggested for them to keep connected to the church. “Maging part kayo ng family ni Pastor Tim at ng family ng SFCC,” he urged. He finished with Romans 8:28. “God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” “Nagkamali man tayo, may purpose pa rin. (Even if we make mistakes, God will use that mistake for a purpose.)”
