Purpose-driven Lives

Real meaning and significance comes from understanding and fulfilling God’s purposes for putting us on earth. It makes life easier and more satisfying, and yes, more fun! At SFCC, every move and every step is geared towards glorifying Jesus. Even simple baby dedications and birthday celebrations are opportunities to minister to the lost. One such event was the baby dedication of baby Dhaniel. Jennifer, Dhaniel’s mom, saw this not just a special day to dedicate her offspring to the Lord, but also as an opportunity to share the Good News to her immediate family and friends who attended the occasion. Without skipping a beat, the ceremony ended with sharing the gospel to the guests.

Guests were given the privilege to hear about how much God loves them and willingly accepted Jesus into their lives.

Entire families accepted Jesus into their lives together.

In another occasion, well-meaning friends threw a surprise birthday party at the mission site where Ms Curie Pitagan, one of the primary leaders of SFCC, would always go to minister to the children. There were fun games, food, and laughter.  The organizers also grabbed this as an opportunity to share the Good News of salvation. The parents & playmates of these children willingly accepted Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

“My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of Him who sent me and to finish His work.” (John 4:34) Nothing can satisfy better than to accomplish the purpose that our Maker has mapped out for our lives.

Curie is heading a care group for kids. Their parents participated in the surprise celebration as a way of saying thanks.

Roy, another church leader, and one of the surprise party organizers, took the opportunity to share the Good News to the well-wishers.

The kids eagerly raised their hands when asked who wanted to receive Jesus into their hearts.

What a joy it is to witness people come to know Jesus! Every occasion is an opportunity to share His love!
